STATE OF THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT (June-July 2012)

Only a couple of June things. Mostly handwaved.

First off is that Ginji got himself roped (okay, I lied, he volunteered) into playing butler/nanny/what-have-you for Asch (and by extension Arietta, since they're in the same house). So he has been busy with that and trying to figure out how do I cook things and not make an irritated redhead even more irritated and how do I lie about not knowing Luke and everyone so the beast loli doesn't chase me out of the house. Yep. (He's bound to slip up eventually sometime in the future.)

Second is he was stuck in Luceti during the storm. (The irony I tell you...) Afterwards he would have helped with cleanup and repairs and things of that nature. He's also extremely interested in knowing the lighter and more mechanical details about space and the Tyr-fighters (especially those).

Upcoming stuff... First week of August I will be on vacation so I was thinking of mallynapping Ginji then (depending on what else is going on). We had joked about doing a child!Ginji thing. I haven't decided on the effect for sure, but that is something I'd like to do eventually. (Because he'd be a dorky cute kid.) I'm open to suggestions!

Next week (July 8-14) I plan on doing a thread about keeping cool during the heat in which Ginji reveals the completion of a big ol' icecream maker named Chione Version 1.02.

Other ideas were building some rec/tech things (kites or gliders or trying to make wing extensions or an even bigger zipline, more fireworks, hammocks...) There's a list of potential inventions (I don't know if they all pass game rules, though) if anyone wants a look at it. Some of those things could be a mini plot of themselves - like if Ginji ended up breaking a wing or something in the process. Nothing particularly earth-shattering, but the potential for character development is definitely there.

Otherwise, there were some suggestions of housemate shenanigans as well as Ginji going to talk with Tear and Ion about Van.

STATE OF THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT (July-August 2012)

It's Mallynap month. Ginji's going to be mallynapped sometime the beginning of the month, and the effects will be played out during the second or third full week. I think I'm going to go ahead with de-aging Ginji this time to be about 5ish years old (however old he'd be when his mom was pregnant with Noelle - that way he's an only child but is thinking about what it's like to be a big brother). The other shift/mallynap idea I'd really like to tackle is making Ginji a jerk, but I'd like to talk that one out first to see what sort of effect it'd have on CR if Ginji came back acting douchey.

The other thing I plan on is having Ginji sign up for missions (if they're tech/vehicle-related) in the future. This is kind of as a heads-up for housemates and the like. Ginji misses tinkering around with BIG THINGS and he'd like those points for reasons I will not yet divulge. And since he missed spaceships and trains, the next cool-sounding thing that comes up, he'll try to go.

Other plot ideas. Aside from the aforementioned project list (we had ice cream this month), I'd like to do a thing with Ginji becoming homesick. Well, Asch and Luke have their mommy here now, so it's only natural for him to be thinking about his own family, I guess.
